But it doesn't stop there. "Your Type" also considers who's likely to be attracted to you. It's a two-way street, ensuring that the connections you make are not just superficial but have the potential for a genuine spark.
The science behind it? Extensive research and insights were gathered from over 2.5 million users. These data-driven insights have shown that AI recommendations are preferred up to 12 times more than random profiles.

How does Match Guarantee work?
Match Guarantee is Iris's way of taking the guesswork out of dating. It's all about mutual attraction and connecting you with people who are not just your type but are also likely to like you back.
Iris calculates a high match probability, presenting you with individuals who are predicted to reciprocate your interest. This calculation is part of the Super Search service, requiring substantial computing power.
While Match Guarantee offers incredible accuracy, it does come at a small cost for non-premium members. It's a small investment toward finding genuine connections. If you're a Gold or Platinum member, rejoice! Super Search is included in your subscription plan.
How Can I Message Someone on Iris?
Messaging on Iris is designed to foster meaningful connections. You can start a conversation with someone only after you've both liked each other, creating a "match." This ensures that both parties are interested in engaging with one another.
If you want to make a special impression, there's an option to send an opening message with an Iris flower. However, it's essential to know that if a person you send a flower to doesn't like you back, you won't be able to keep sending them messages. This approach helps maintain a respectful and interested community, where connections are more likely to lead to genuine interactions.
What is the Minimum Age Requirement?
You must be at least 18 years old to join the Iris community.

How Do I Train Iris and Why Is It Important?
Training Iris is the first step to personalized dating recommendations, focusing on facial features while being blind to skin color, race, hairstyle, and clothes.
Once you create an account, you'll train Iris by rating some stock photos.
You can watch a one-minute video to learn everything about training.
But why is training Iris important? Artificial Intelligence isn't magic; Iris needs to learn what you like to make personal recommendations. Once trained, Iris will suggest matches based on the likelihood of mutual attractiveness, and it never stops learning, continually processing your ratings to improve recommendations.
A key training tip for optimizing Iris is to strike a balance in your ratings. While enough 'High' ratings are essential to progress to the next phase, being overly generous with your LIKES can dilute the specificity of your type. This might result in average recommendations. On the other hand, being too selective can prolong the training process. Aim for a balanced approach for the best outcomes.
Upload Your Type
We understand that stock photos can't encompass all possible facial features. That's why we allow members to upload their type.
If there's someone you find particularly dazzling, you can upload a headshot of them. Iris will take their face into account when providing recommendations.
However, it's important to note that Iris won't necessarily suggest people who look exactly like the photo you uploaded. Instead, it will look for subtle patterns that are common among all the faces you've liked, including the one you added. This ensures a broader and more refined set of recommendations.
You can find the 'Upload your type' option in your profile section.
User Profile
What is Photo Verification?
Iris ensures genuine connections by verifying every new member's profile picture with a quick selfie taken through the app. Don't fret about appearance; your selfie won't appear on your profile. Iris welcomes all daters, except catfish!
What are the Photo Requirements?
Your profile picture on Iris is your first impression, so make it count! Images should be at least 480×640 pixels, and you should upload at least one profile picture where there is no other person in the photo with you. Your face should be well-lit and clearly visible, without sunglasses or significant turns.
Although it's not required, we highly suggest uploading all six photos. Doing so will help Iris's AI find better recommendations and increase your chances of a match.
Can I Delete My Profile Picture?
On Iris, having a profile picture is essential. You must have at least one eligible profile picture that can't be deleted, but you can always replace it with a new one.
Every Iris user must have a valid profile picture that meets our guidelines. It's part of what makes Iris a genuine and engaging place to connect!
How Can I Delete My Account?
Ready to leave? Go to My Profile > Settings > Delete Account.
How Can I Report Someone?
To report a user, click on their photo to enter their profile and scroll down to find the report button, or report them from the chat by selecting the "menu" in the upper-right-hand corner.
How Can I Unmatch People?
To unmatch someone, go to your conversation page, select the "menu" in the upper-right-hand corner, and tap Unmatch.
Why is my “About me” section being rejected?
At Iris, we strive for a community that's genuine, respectful, and free from offensive content. Our app's rules prohibit language that could be seen as defamatory, spam, or promoting illegal activities.
Sometimes, our automated systems might mistakenly flag content. If you believe your "About Me" section was rejected in error, don't worry! Just reach out to our Support team, and we'll be happy to assist you.

What is a User Ban?
Iris maintains a respectful environment. Anyone attempting to abuse the system will be banned.

Why am I not receiving any suggestions?
Training Quality: Ensure you've completed Iris's personalized training.
Location & Proximity: Broaden your search radius if there are few nearby users.
Age Range: Consider expanding the age range you're interested in.
What is "Display My Location"?
Choose to show or hide your location/distance from other users.
What is "Display Gender"?
You have the option to show or hide your gender for other users.
What are Flavors?
Flavors are your interests. Add them to your profile as icebreakers and conversation starters. Connecting over shared "Flavors" can spice up your Iris experience!
What is Trust Rating and How to Increase it?
Trust Rating is Iris's system for building a trusted digital dating community. It rewards honest and respectful communication and takes action against those who don't follow community standards.
You can increase your Trust Rating by having six profile pics, writing a thoughtful "about me" section, and not ghosting on your matches.
Conversely, your rating may decrease if you're reported for inappropriate behavior, use excessive filters on your pictures, or if your "about me" section violates our terms.
Members with high Trust Ratings receive special recognition, including a badge on their profiles, and prominent search placement.
On the other hand, if your rating drops below a certain threshold, you may be banned from Iris. Trust Rating is our way of ensuring a positive and respectful experience for all members, holding everyone accountable to one another.
Why distance doesn't affect “Iris picks.”
The ‘Distance’ setting doesn't impact the “iris picks” because it's about finding people you're attracted to. Plus, mutual attraction is very rare. We believe distance shouldn't limit your chances of connecting with the right person.
